Power Designs Web (“we”, “us”) is based in the East Rand, South Africa. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website in line with practical POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) principles. Project work with clients is also covered by our Client service agreement.
Information we collect
When you contact us or send an enquiry (including through the website form, which is delivered via FormSubmit to our business email), we may receive your name, business name, email address, telephone number, project requirements, package preference and preferred contact method.
If you arrive from a campaign or channel link, we may also capture marketing attribution parameters (for example UTM source, medium and campaign, and where present click identifiers such as gclid or fbclid), the page you landed on, and the external referring website. Last-touch details for the current visit are kept in session storage; first-touch details may remain in local storage until you clear site data. These fields may be attached to your enquiry so we know which channel worked.
Why we use it
We use this information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, deliver agreed services, keep appropriate business records, understand which marketing channels bring enquiries, and meet legal obligations. We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without a clear reason to contact you about your request.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers only where reasonably necessary to operate the website, communicate with you (for example email or WhatsApp), process form delivery, or deliver an agreed service. Where optional web analytics is enabled (see below), limited technical data may be processed by the analytics provider. Where required by law, we may also disclose information to authorities.
Cookies and analytics
Essential / functional storage. The website may use essential cookies or browser storage required for basic operation. Marketing attribution (UTM parameters and a simple channel label such as “marketplace” or “whatsapp”) may be stored locally so we can measure which channels lead to enquiries and attach that context to form submissions and WhatsApp messages. First-touch data is kept in browser localStorage as pdw_first_touch; last-touch for the visit in sessionStorage as pdw_last_touch. This works without Google Analytics and is only used to improve our marketing and respond to you — we do not sell it.
Optional Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Meta Pixel. If we enable them by configuring a measurement ID and/or Meta Pixel ID on the live site, Google and/or Meta may process technical usage data (for example pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser type, and referral or campaign parameters) on our behalf. Scripts only load when the relevant ID is configured; if empty, no Google Analytics or Meta Pixel tags are loaded. On successful enquiry we may also send a lead/conversion event. Processing is subject to those providers’ terms and privacy notices. Where appropriate for non-essential analytics, we may add a consent mechanism.
You can limit tracking via your browser settings, extensions, or Google’s / Meta’s tools for ad personalisation. Clearing site data ends the attribution stored in your browser.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for business and legal purposes, then delete or anonymise it where practical. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage method is completely secure.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal record-keeping requirements. You may also ask us to stop contacting you about a closed enquiry.
